The idea of different religious expressions working together where possible and having independent integrity when needed began with the creation of Columbia. From the very beginning of Columbia, Jews, Protestants, and Roman Catholics planned to live together in the new city and to maximize their respective and collective interests.

Information on Columbia's interfaith centers and congregations is available from the Columbia Cooperative Ministry's Web site. Click here to connect to that Web site. Use your browser's "Back" button to return to this site.
